TUESDAY EVENING FAREWELL

Farewells are so hard. We went for a lovely dinner at Allenbi's Cafe on Allenby avenue just a couple blocks off of Ben Gurion avenue with Julia and Hugh, our British friends.

Then everyone met at 7:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim House Reception Center for a farewell. Even after the sun set, it was warm enough to not need a coat. This is the first evening that has happened.

A couple hundred people gathered in the small courtyard to say good-bye. It was dark and the Shrine of the Bab was lit. The reason why (we're told) the Shrine is so beautifully lit at night (stunning) is because the Bab was not even given a candle the years He was imprisoned in darkness. Notice the terraces above and below the Shrine. 9 in all.

The Shrine of the Báb and its Terraces at night.

We circumambulated the Shrine as a group. Prayers were said. Then we gathered to say our good-byes.
Here is a photo of a beautiful girl who works at the Archives. And a darling man we met.

This lady was on Pilgrimage from Czechoslovakia with her darling 2 little boys who were so well behaved. Here she is with a sweet lady. Both were in our small group.

This guy, Justin, always had a smile on his face.

Some people left today, or this evening, or tonight. We will leave tomorrow and bus to Jerusalem, and the Pilgrimage continues! Stay tuned for more.
