FRIDAY MARCH 8

Today, Emily went to the Archives. What an experience! Then she spent the afternoon walking around Ben Gurion Avenue. She purchased a beautiful cover for her prayer book. She was exhausted by the end of the day.
The weather was warmer today. Beautiful out. It had been chilly and windy up until today, cooler than we'd expected. But all 3 of us live in Arizona!
It was a free day today for Mike and Beth. They bussed down to Ben Gurion Avenue and walked around.
Beth and Mike took this picture of the Shrine of the Bab taken from Ben Gurion Ave but it does not do it justice. So they will also post this professional picture.

Those are the steps that Emily walked up!
Then Mike and Beth ate lunch at Cafe Cafe, a popular place. Good coffee and sandwiches.

Shopped for souvenirs at a gift shop on Ben Gurion Ave. Here is their card.

Dinner at a surreptitious find. Mike and Beth saw a sign that said Mandarin, so they figured they'd have Chinese food. It was located up the street from the Beth Shalom Hotel. You have to walk down a pathway to get to it because it's off the street. It turned out not to be Chinese food at all but a specialty coffee shop that serves delicious food. Highly recommended. 129 Hanasi St.

All 3 of us agree this is a marvelous trip.
