SUNDAY MARCH 17

Cold, rainy, bitter wind today. We checked out of the Jerusalem Inn at 11:00 a.m.
Below is Zvi who was a very helpful receptionist at the Hotel. Ladies, he's available.

We had a cup of coffee at the Coffee Bean because the Jerusalem Inn doesn't offer coffee other than instant. Then we battled the wind and walked to the city bus and bussed to the Israel Museum. The special Herod exhibition was very good. We also saw the exhibition on the Dead Sea scrolls. Was excellent. We ate lunch at the Museum. Was good. Then we took the bus and also the light rail back to the hotel to get our luggage. We taxiied to Ben Gurion airport for 300 shekels (about $75). 45 minutes.

12 hour flight over the Atlantic. Went up to Iceland. Minus 77 degrees outside the plane. When we got to New York, we went through customs, went to the carousel to collect our luggage, checked in our luggage, went through another customs line, took the sky train to go to another terminal, ran across the street in the cold to get to the other terminal, zipped into the bathroom, then got luggage x-rayed while Beth got patted down because of her pacemaker. We barely got to the gate to catch the connecting flight to  Phoenix on time.

Arrived in Phoenix on Monday, March 18 by noon. We all agree it was a wonderful experience. This brings us to the end of our trip and the end of our blog. We hope you have enjoyed this journey with us. May God bless you in your search for the truth and your relationship with your Maker.

Adios and vaya con Dios.

  1. Thank you for the trip, I followed daily and even passed the site on to others who were interested in how Emily was doing on her trip.
