SUNDAY, MARCH 3

Our breakfast at the Sea Executive Suites in Tel Aviv was delicious. We're used to buffets but this was in a restaurant with sit-down service with a waiter. Free! Included in room rate. We all 3 ordered an Israeli breakfast. Marvelous. Eggs (scrambled), yogurt, cheese, bread, vegetable salad, tuna salad, freshly squeezed juice. Beth got strawberry. Emily got coconut. Mike got orange. We each got a pitcher.  Beth's tasted like a virgin dacquiri. Emily's tasted like a virgin pina colada. Delicious.
Beautiful weather. We didn't have to check out until noon (Israel is 9 hours ahead of AZ) so we sat out on our patio. We were on the 9th floor. Here's our view of the Med Sea from our patio.

Here's Emily on our patio.

We walked along the beach and saw many parasailers.

We were walking along and saw dozens and dozens of lounge chairs on the sand. We thought, "How nice! They provide chairs." So we sat down. Soon a guy came up to us and said, "Three chairs. That'll be 30 shekels." So we left.

We took the train to Haifa to the Beth Shalom Hotel. The train was nice. Smooth. Quiet ride. Taxiied to the hotel. Our 3rd taxi. Taxis are different than what we're used to. You have to choose in the beginning whether we want the meter rate, or, the standard rate. A nice young Israeli man had told us to always take the meter rate. The traffic and drivers are crazy!

  1. Interesting view, even with chairs, no people. Not like beaches in the States, you would be stepping over people.
